Admin

The administrative tail of running a team or a company. Expenses, contracts, calendars, onboarding, recurring filings. Important work, mostly thankless, and where an EA or chief of staff feels the lift first.

What people build here

  • Expense reports. Agent pulls receipts from your inbox and card statements, categorizes them against your policy, drafts the monthly report, and routes it for approval. You review, submit, done.
  • Contract review. Forward an inbound contract. The agent diffs it against your standard terms, flags the deviations (term length, liability cap, indemnity, auto-renewal, payment terms), and drafts the red-line back.
  • Calendar maintenance. Cleans up duplicate events, surfaces conflicts before they happen, politely declines meetings without agendas, protects focus blocks, proposes office-hours windows.
  • New-hire onboarding. When a hire is announced, the agent files IT tickets, books welcome meetings, drafts the first-week email, shares the right docs, and checks in on day 7 to surface anything still pending.
  • Travel planning. Give it dates and a destination. It puts together flight and hotel options that match your preferences and policy, drops them in a one-page comparison, and books what you pick.
  • Recurring filings. Quarterly tax estimates, annual reports, vendor renewals, certificate-of-insurance refreshes. The agent watches the calendar, gathers the inputs, drafts the submission, and reminds you before it's late.
  • Document organization. When files pile up in Drive or Dropbox, the agent sorts them into the right folders, renames the inconsistent ones, and flags duplicates.

How to ask for one

When a new employee is added to BambooHR: open IT tickets for laptop, email, and Slack access; book a 30-min welcome with their manager and a 15-min one with me in their first three days; share the "First Week" Notion doc with them; add them to the all-hands calendar; on day 7 send me a Slack summary of what's still outstanding.

Connections you'll usually want

Email, calendar, your HR tool, your accounting or expense system, document storage (Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive), and any vendor portals where the recurring work actually lives.
