Files & Attachments
Agents can read pretty much anything you'd attach to an email: documents, spreadsheets, decks, images, audio, video, exports from other tools. They can also make files for you to download.
Sending a file
Drag it into the chat box. Or paste a link. Or forward an email with attachments to the agent's email address. The agent reads it, understands it, and uses it for whatever you've asked.
Some things people do with this:
- Drop in a vendor contract and ask "how does this differ from our standard MSA?"
- Forward a 60-page PDF and ask for a one-page summary plus the three numbers your CFO will care about.
- Screenshot an error and ask "what's this and how do I fix it?"
- Paste a meeting recording and get back a transcript, the decisions, and a list of follow-ups with owners.
What it can read
- Documents. PDF, Word, plain text, markdown, rich text.
- Spreadsheets. Excel and CSV, including workbooks with multiple sheets. You can refer to a specific tab by name.
- Slide decks. Both the text and the layout.
- Images. Screenshots, photos, scanned documents. The agent reads the picture directly, no OCR step needed.
- Audio and video. Voice memos, meeting recordings, video clips. It transcribes on demand.
- Code and structured data. JSON, YAML, XML, source files in most languages.
- Zip files. It looks inside and treats each entry as its own attachment.
How big, how many
Up to 25 MB per file and 10 files per message. For anything bigger or longer, drop the file in a connected storage tool (Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, S3) and share the link. The agent will fetch it through the connection and there's basically no ceiling that way.
Files agents make for you
Agents can also produce files. Ask for a spreadsheet, a one-pager, a slide draft, a chart, a CSV export. It renders inline in the chat with a Download button. You can share it directly or ask the agent to email it, drop it in Drive, attach it to a CRM record, whatever's next.
